This series of work was developed as part of the eco-feminist group exhibition 'crosseXions' held at Metro Arts (Brisbane) and Cross Arts (Sydney). Starting with a set amount of precious metal and gemstones, I made a piece of jewellery from those materials for artists who participated in the exhibition. Each piece was individual to the wearer and the visual imagery was developed in response to a series of conversations I had with the wearer. Once the piece had been received and worn, it was then returned, melted down and re-made into a new piece for the next participant. This work was an exploration into recycling and the idea of sharing a pool of resources, rather than owning or possessing an object. An instagram account and hashtag was set up so that participants could document and share their experiences.
